HrimTron Energy was founded in 2022 by two engineers with a clear mandate to build advanced energy conversion systems through first-principles engineering and disciplined execution. The year focused on deep thermodynamic analysis, global technology benchmarking, and defining robust system architectures suited for real-world industrial operation—establishing a long-term foundation in precision engineering and industrial relevance.

Grant Support, Incubation & Core Platform Development

In 2023, HrimTron transitioned from concept to structured experimentation, receiving early grant support and incubation at Venture Center, Pune. An initial ORC system was developed to validate thermal integration, working-fluid behaviour, and system controls, while parallel development of a high-speed turbomachinery platform laid the groundwork for compact, efficient, and scalable system design.

2024

Seed Investment & Integrated Prototype

Early 2024 marked a major inflection point with seed investment from Social Alpha and incubation at FISE – AIC Social Alpha. During this phase, HrimTron designed and assembled a fully integrated 15 kWe ORC prototype, validating mechanical integration, start-up behaviour, and operational stability—transitioning the technology from subsystem validation to a functional power generation platform.

2025

Platform Maturity & Global Recognition

In 2025, HrimTron achieved platform maturity with an upgraded 25 kWe integrated ORC system, incorporating in-house power electronics, controls, and advanced turbomachinery. Long-duration endurance trials were initiated under the Social Alpha × MUFG Program, supported by CSR funding from Thoughtworks. The company also gained national and international recognition through TiE TGS 100, the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) LIF Advance 2025, and Tata Social Enterprise Top 50—establishing HrimTron as a globally engaged deep-tech energy venture.

Pilot Validation & Commercial Deployment

Pilot Validation & Commercial Deployment In 2026, HrimTron is focused on extended endurance validation to demonstrate long-term reliability, performance consistency, and maintenance behaviour. In parallel, the company is advancing pilot deployments at industrial sites, enabling early commercial orders and marking the transition from technology development to initial market deployment.

The INDOS Platform

INDOS is HrimTron’s proprietary high-RPM turbomachinery platform, engineered to deliver significantly higher efficiency and power density than conventional low-speed turbine systems. By operating at elevated rotational speeds, INDOS achieves a more compact footprint, reduced mechanical complexity, and superior overall efficiency compared to traditional turbine architectures.

The platform is built around a high-performance rotor–stator design optimized through first-principles engineering, enabling direct integration with advanced power electronics and eliminating the need for bulky gearboxes. This results in lower mechanical losses, improved reliability, and simplified maintenance, particularly in space- and cost-constrained industrial environments.

While INDOS forms the core of HrimTron’s waste-heat-to-power systems, its underlying turbomachinery architecture is inherently versatile. The same high-RPM design principles can be applied across multiple applications, including waste heat recovery, high-speed turbopumps, and compressor systems, where compactness, efficiency, and dynamic performance are critical.
